The Skiing

From gentle tree lined nursery slopes to long cruising blue runs, beginners are very well catered for.

Intermediates will enjoy the great distances that can be covered, on superbly linked reds and blues, that allow you to ski a circular route to Switzerland and back. The higher, purpose built Avoriaz is reachable with three quick lifts and one great run.

Experts can find vast amounts of off piste and challenging black runs including "the Swiss wall". Truly something for everyone and great mountain restaurants, where you can all meet up.

Chatel is blessed with an authentic charm and a fantastic location. It is less than 90 mins from Geneva airport and is a prime gateway to the vast Portes du Soleil ski playground. There are 650km of linked and marked pistes plus spectacular and varied off piste.

Being close to Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc creates a special micro-climate that gives the area a fantastic snowfall which averages over 7 metres per year. Normally this falls more evenly from November to April than in some other resorts, meaning the pistes have a more regular layer of fresh fluffy snow.

Tree lined runs mean that on "bad weather" days, when other resorts need to close you can keep on playing!

Cross country skiing.

If you would rather use your own steam rather than lifts and gravity, there are miles of cross country routes, some starting only minutes from the chalet.

We will happily arrange lessons and equipment, plus take you to the best locations.
